Here's your chance to own the special 4-disc Platinum Series extended DVD gift box set of the extended version of Peter Jackson's stunning, Academy Award-winning The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers! The gift box includes the following extras: "The Evolution of Gollum" exclusive: a bonus DVD on the Weta Workshop and how the Gollum statue was created, featuring interviews with Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor, the cast and more! Also featured on the bonus disc, a printed companion piece showing how Gollum evolved from pencil sketch to sculpted maquette to digital character.

A collectible Gollum polystone statue created by Sideshow Weta is included as well. These contents are presented to you in a handsome gift box, with packaging illustrated by famed artist, Alan Lee. As for the film itself, this wide-screen four-disc PlatinumT Series DVD set includes 40 minutes of extra footage woven into the theatrical release of the film, and new music by Howard Shore.

The movie is presented on two DVDs in Widescreen (2.35:1) format with Dolby Digital EX 5.1 Surround Sound, DTS ES 6.1 Surround Sound, and Stereo Surround Sound.

Discs 1 and 2 titled, "The Feature", include the film itself along with four audio commentaries from Peter Jackson, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Orlando Bloom and Academy Award winners Richard Taylor, Howard Shore, Randy Cook.and many more.

The remaining discs are titled, "The Appendices." These two discs contain hours of original content including multiple documentaries and design/photo galleries with thousands of images to give viewers an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

Disc 3 includes features on adapting the book into a screenplay, planning the film, design and inspiration for locations in Middle-earth, storyboards to pre-visualization, a Weta Workshop visit, an Atlas of Middle-earth, an interactive map of New Zealand highlighting the location scouting process, galleries of art and slideshows with commentaries by the artists, and much more!
